Electroencephalography (EEG)

EEG measures the electrical activity of the brain, primarily the synchronized postsynaptic potentials of pyramidal neurons in the cortex.

Temporal vs Spatial Resolution

Unlike fMRI, EEG has exquisite temporal resolution (milliseconds) but poor spatial resolution due to the inverse problem and volume conduction.
